On Thursday, April 16th, 2010 our Men’s Auxiliary was chartered. We are now the fourth Men’s Auxiliary in the state of Oregon.

History

The 102nd National Convention of the Veterans of Foreign Wars of United States approved a by-law change that authorizes the formation of Men’s Auxiliary Units in accordance with prescribed procedure. For information please contact the Adjutant of the respective Department having jurisdiction.

About

Eligibility requires being a male, age 16 or older, and having a grandparent, parent, step parent, spouse, sibling, child or grandson eligible for VFW membership (US military member who honorably served overseas in a war zone area during war time , including service in Korea or its territorial waters after June 30, 1949  (for 30 consecutive days or a total of 60 days); or received special pay for duty subject to hostile fire or imminent danger.)

Men eligible for membership in the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States shall not be eligible for membership in the Men’s Auxiliary.

The men’s auxiliary is not just a social club. We actively support  our troops and their families. Your help is truly needed.

VFW Men’s Auxiliary also provides political support to our troops. Winning a long hard fought victory by helping to pass a GI Bill for the 21st Century, providing expanded educational benefits to America’s active duty service members, and members of the Guard and Reserves, fighting in Iraq and Afghanistan.
